Posted - 01 Jul 2019 : 19:46:39 Apologies for not staying for the debrief and if I may permitted to give my own feedback; Trespassed into the SA3 WEZ to see if I could wake it up. As I was approaching the SA3 lethal zone, I began a left hook turn when suddenly the SA3 lite up on the Had page and turned red (all within a second). I locked it up and fired a HARM. I got the SA3 missile launch warning immediately after I took the shot. Within 10 seconds, I was going down in flames. Managed to eject. My mistake was that I trespassed too much into the SA3 WEZ. Thanks gents. |

Took off to attack the 2 western Sams a SA6 and an SA3. 1 killed the SA6 who lit up out of the threat circle and stayed lit until his demise. 2 then attacked the Sa3 fired at him but was shot down by the SA3 in the process. The SA3 was not killed. Meanwhile Shark covered our attack killing 2 mig 21s coming in our direction. 1 commenced the attack on the SA3 but it stopped emitting after the harm was fired and so stayed alive once again. Shark warned me of incoming mig 29s I turned cold and Shark saved Lobo once again.Lobo1 then joined Shark for the flight home and a very sloppy landing by myself. Do not know if Echion got a launch warning or not?All in all good comms between the fights and a fun flight. |

Took off in first flight to attack eastern SAM's, those being an SA-6 and an SA-4.
En route we had two MiG 21s in the middle of the patrol area, one was dispatched by me the other by Reds. We then moved in on the SA-6. The HAD only showed a search radar in the area on the PPT. I fired at this and it turned out to be the Fat Face. Red's went in to get the thing to light up but it lit up on me as I flanked it. Red's couldn't see the target. Luckily I could and fired a good shot killing it.
We then turned our attention to the SA-4. Reds fired at the search radar in the area. I played bait and it lit up and fired at me. Again Reds couldn't see it so after evading the first one I flew in again and this time Reds got the kill.
Now Nevada we turned to go AA to cover for Lobo who were down t a singleton by this time. We engaged a two ship MiG-29A flight, setting up a three ship race track. The MiG's went down.
We returned to base with a straight in approach for 34R.
Good fun. |
