With enemy air bases down in the SW section of enemy territory we must now concentrate in helping with the clearance of SAM coverage.
Your mission today is to attack and destroy an SA-2 and SA-3 site, the latter being the closest.

Your task will be to destroy the Fan Song and Low Blows of the respective defence systems. Destruction of further assets is encouraged.

The package consists of three flights, totalling eight aircraft; details below.

The DEAD flight will have ALIC codes for their targets plus those for SA-4s in case any come up. Be aware that TWO active SA-5's cover the target area and tactics should be planned accordingly.

Mission Success Criteria
Package success will be awarded for the destruction of the SA-3 Low Blow and the SA-2 Fan Song with only one loss from air threats. A partial shall be awarded if the Low Blow is destroyed but the Fan Song survives, again with a max of one loss to air threats.

Uneventful flight to the CAP. Set up a 2 plus 1 clockwise CAP at FL260. Lots of aircraft, mostly blue. Spotted IL-28s but no factor, 1 x MiG21 but that was hammered by a barrage of AA missiles from AI flights as was our only engagement, which was with a MiG 29A. My missile was trashed but AI aircraft took it down.
We played tail-end-Charlie for Plasma as they left the mission area. We had to go around three times at home plate due to the masses of AI aircraft landing. We slotted in and parked up safe and sound.
We all got home and with no losses to Plasma 5 and with the targets destroyed it was medals all around.
