Continuing our relentless destruction of enemy ground power you are tasked with hitting the enemy's reserve forces that are NW of the last mission area.

You should note that the SAM threats are higher in this area, but mostly IR missiles, ie, SA-7, 13 and 14. Radar tracking flak may be more of a problem so plan accordingly.

Fig. 1 - Intel over the Target Area from the Last Mission.

Air threats are still a serious issue in this area although their numbers are dropping. Squadrons of MiG-29A, MiG-23, MiG-21 and J-6 are still active in the area supporting their own ground troops. Koksan is the closest enemy airbase of note with MiG-21s.

Fig. 2 - Flight Plan over the Target Area with Kill Box Shown.

The package consists of two flights totalling eight aircraft, details below.

Fig. 3 - Package 3204 AI Details.

Mission Success Criteria
Package success as last time, will be awarded for destroying an average of four ground units per aircraft with only one loss from air/radar SAM threats. A partial shall be awarded if only an average of three ground units are destroyed per aircraft, again with a max of one loss to air/radar SAM threats.

Good hunting.

MS - 26 total ground unit kills

Picture was clear on ingress, and lots of ground units were spotted so target groups were assigned across the flight and we all attacked at once.

1 and 3 got all 4 CBU 105s off on the first pass. 4 took two passes, and 2 had difficulty finding targets.

As 1 and 3 were quick to Dakota, they supported Hammer3 in Escort duties. Both 1 and 3 fired a slammer (charlie) at Su30s for no success. 2 and 4 checked Hammer3's six as we all turned for home.

3 had a CTD at OHB and 4 lost nosewheel on landing.
