Within the killbox assigned, a tank battalion needs attention.
The priority is to destroy the 16 x T-72, a threat to our ground troops now pushing.

This battalion is covered by an SA-6 that we have previously seen to be headed NW, moving along the road.
The SA-6 needs to be taken out of action before the AI flight moves in.

Gameplan:

If less than 6 pilots, Escort and SEAD flights can be merged into 1 flight.

The Escort will move in first to sanitize airspace, once done lead will call "HIHAT" over UHF6.

SEAD can move in. Once Straight Flush is destroyed, SEAD flight lead will call "CRASH" over UHF6.

AI flight can push and SEAD flight will continue engaging SA-6 (if there are no other direct threats to package).

Once AI has done the job, lead will call "COWBELL" over UHF6.

Package can then egress and/or engage secondary targets at will.

Minimal air threat expected.
Weather is fair and expect night landing.

Air Threats:
G-4
MiG-21Bis
MiG-29A
Su-25
Su-33/39 (Kuznetsov)

SAM Threats:
MANPADS
SA-6
AAA

Package 1136
JACKAL7- AI - 4xF-16
WARHAWK1 - ESCORT 4x F-16
JACKAL2 - SEAD 2x F-16

MS - 16 x T-72 destroyed, Straight Flush + SA-6 launchers destroyed, no loss to package.
PS - 8 x T-72 destroyed, Straight Flush destroyed, max 1 loss to package.

After a restart after I thought it would be good idea to raise my undercarriage before I was airborne, we climbed slowly to FL240 behind Warhawk.

We were carrying GBU-54s and had separate laser codes in case we needed them. The aim was to get the "Crash" code call and then go looking for the tanks.

Unfortunately Warhawk were not successful in killing the Straight Flush so we went for alternate targets to the north, all around Zemunick AB.

We had a good set of results, with grounded aircraft, AAA battalions and buildings destroyed.

We were aware that Warhawk were getting low on fumes, but managed to finish our attacks, regroup and head home for a landing on runway 27. This followed a protracted overhead break while we avoided a landing C-17.

It was a good flight and although our primary mission wasn't achieved, the decision to go for a secondary target proved fruitful.
