Posted - 31 Jan 2025 : 14:25:20 Command has recognised that we are wasting fuel with flights from Bassitine, so has moved our F-16 and F-15 squadrons closer to the FLOT at Cherif El Idrisi (CEI). The flights will be shorter as a result and turn around will also be quicker. The runway at CEI is 01/19.

Intel has determined that the enemy ground forces are concentrated in certain areas. You will continue to attack these invading forces and get them to slow their advance and thus allow our defences to push them back.
Enemy aircraft in the form of MiG-29S and G and also SU-30MKK are still a threat although their numbers appear to have depleted.
Your package consists of three flights of F-16s and an escort of F-15C. The latter shall be on station to cover your attacks.

The weather is sunny at the target although the mission will start in darkness on the ramp.
Mission Success shall be awarded on a flight basis of an average of four kills per aircraft.
A Partial Success shall be similarly awarded but for an average of only two kills per aircraft and/or a loss of one aircraft.
Good hunting.

We took off behind the F-15s and climbed to FL220. The skies were clear of enemy as we approached the FLOT.
Our plan was to attack our kill box from the south, so I moved my flight SE to position for a northward attack profile. If the targets were static we could do the attack in one pass, otherwise we would need an anti-clockwise orbit for laser guided attacks. Myself and 3 dropped on static targets. I managed to drop all four in the first pass, while 3 needed a second pass. 2 was having problems aligning the aircraft to the targets and took a few attempts to release the ordnance, unfortunately missing or hitting already destroyed units.
We then set up a CAP at FL300 on a 290/110° track while Fury and Panther finished their ground attacks. It remained mostly quiet until a two-ship MiG 29S and a two-ship SU-30MKK flight was noted heading our way. The latter was heading SW and paid no attention to us but we engaged the MiGs. Both were destroyed. A second flight of MiGs was spotted behind the first batch and Fury took care of them.
We RTB'd with an overhead break on runway 19.
A good job by the flight.
