Posted - 11 Jul 2026 : 17:09:40 Command welcomes you back after your well deserved, two day R&R. Things have moved on at the front and Command hopes that the end is in sight.
SITUATION The FLOT has moved a further twenty miles west in the centre and a significant thirty plus miles in the north. We have also made a push for the coast in the south west.
The enemy has made some repairs to air bases and MiG-21 have been engaged in the centre and south.
Enemy ground forces have been engaged by our forces in the area west on Bir Gifgafa.
MISSION The 185th is to support the troops at Bir Gifgafa by conducting a search and destroy exercise west of the FLOT in that area.

You see from Fig.2 that the search area is tight and flight leads must work to co-ordinate their aircraft for safe separation.
Each aircraft has GBU-54 bombs loaded for the job, as well as four x AIM-120C missiles in case enemy aircraft make an appearance.

If required, the facilities at Bir Gifgafa have been repaired and are reportedly available. The quality of the repairs have not been tested so use them at your own risk.

THREATS Air threats are currently known to be MiG-21 only.
Ground threats include SA-17 and Hawk air defence battalions to the west on the AO. An SA-3 battalion has been repaired and in operation in the SW. AAA, MANPADS and small arms fire may be evident with and discovered enemy troops.
Tasking Mako5 - Search for and destroy any found enemy troops, concentrating on armoured units where possible. Laser codes are 1611 to 1614.
Jackel5 - Search for and destroy any found enemy troops, concentrating on armoured units where possible. Laser codes are 1621 to 1624.
Mission Success Criteria
Mako5 and Jackal5 Mission Success shall be awarded for destruction of two targets per aircraft.
Partial Success shall be awarded for destruction of one target per aircraft.
Weather over the area is good.
Magic6 will act as AWACs. Limited enemy air presence is expected.

Results Flight Leads in this Sunday's official mission, "Solid Truss 26" are requested to post a debrief of their flight's actions, including any lessons learned or that should be learned by others.
