Situation Mecheria Airbase is out of action for now. So focus returns to the front line. Several air defense battalions are located just beyond the lines of our advancing ground forces. These should be destroyed to allow attack aircraft to join the battle.
Mission Three flights will be tasked with various air defense targets.

Took off first and headed to our target area, looking specifically for SA-22s. We first came across of flight of two SU-24s. No idea what they were doing but Mango and I took them down between us.
We flew in at FL250 and I found the SA-22s tucked between some storage tanks. Mango and I attacked these and destroyed them and the storage tanks. This was achieved using GBU-54s.
There being no other valid targets we moved on to the HQ battalion at the next steerpoint. We destroyed three SA-15s and a bunch of other vehicle in a column ESE of the target area.
Mango was running out of fuel and could not use his GBU12s. We RTB'd with Mango going to the alternate. He had troubles on landing because he forgot to jettison the GBU-12s.
A good, productive mission with good air cover from Jaguar.

Some tech issues to start from Scooter, and in hindsight we should have taken off on schedule rather than let the rest of the package go first given that we were well behind when Cobra7 encountered the Su24s at the FLOT.
As it was we had a simple job with a lot to choose from at our target area. We were quickly Dakota and all on CAP to ensure the Mig29s and Su30s to the north did not threaten us.
