Command intends to send troops to take Sur city. Intel shows varied enemy groups along the coast north of the city.
Your task is to search for and destroy any enemy units there in support of the proposed ground ops.

Fig 1 - Your Route
Kalhalhak AB, that was the only remaining active enemy AB, is now out of action again. Therefore we have complete control of the skies.

Flew to target at FL180 and went two mile trail ahead of the approach to the target area. We were alloted the southern end of the box and found a battalion lined up E-W. I told Weasel the location of that contact and that we were attacking from the east.
After allocating sections of the column to the flight I went in first, drop four Rockeyes with a spacing of 500 feet. The others followed in and the column was devastated. Fisty found new targets just two mile north and we attacked them. Fisty went low and encroached into Weasel's. Not good.
When Dakota we orbited at SP4 for rejoin. Overhead break for rwy 20 was good and all rtb'd.

Confusion when we reached the IP and #2 went straight for the target instead of extending further as briefed, and I was too late setting us in trail formation which messed up the racetrack. Not many targets were to be seen, only one column. I engaged and dropped a pair of Mk-20, trying to get #2 to rejoin and provide accurate information to #3. On the next pass I thought I saw this column being engaged by friendlies, but I must have been mistaken with the other flight's target and seeing F-4 on top. I decided to hold and look for another target. The only other target we could see was a friendly column to the NE. A column was inside Gamble's box and after advising them we would engage we ended in a bad situation with the two flight engaging the same target at different altitudes with no coordination. #2 and #3 could not get the bombs off and jettisoned them and we RTB due to fuel. I rejoined on #2 for him to save fuel, but we were too fast for #3 to catch up. Within 30NM of the airbase, we started a right-hand turn for #3 to catch up, but should have gone for a straight in approach instead. I called approach for a straight in, #2 was cleared to land first, so I went to set myself up for a long final on 02, waiting for #3 to rejoin behind. But then I saw the other flight break and realised runway was 20 instead. Right at that time, #2 and #3 were on an OHB following Gamble flight. I came back for a 20 final and landed.
