Our first foray into 4.36 went pretty well with significant hits on enemy SAM assets, taking some MiGs with them.

We have opened the way to target some airbases on the western peninsular. While other squadrons seem intent in battering Taetan into dust, our task will be to inflict significant damage to Onjin air base.

Fig. 1 - Onjin airbase.

Your task will be to destroy multiple sections of runway as well as hitting any remaining air defences. Other targets of opportunity can be attacked should these first two tasks be met and weapons remain.

Fig. 2 - OCA Route over target area with IP lined up with runway heading of 290°.

The package consists of three flights, totalling eight aircraft; details below.

Mission Success Criteria
Satan 4 - Two sections of runway destroyed. PS for one section.
Warhawk 1 - No losses to package from radar SAMs. PS for one loss.
Satan 7 - No losses to Warhawk or Satan before task completion. PS for one loss.

Good hunting.

Flight Role: OCA Strike
Satan41: Pegasus AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Satan42: Griffin AA=0 AG=1 RTB

MS - All runway sections destroyed

Lack of intra-package comms on the ground meant that we were a long way behind our escort by the time we got airborne.

Heeded a call from Satan72 that we had Mig23s to our north on ingress. We turned west so that Satan7 was in between us and the hostiles, who were dealt with by Satan7.

Run in on target was textbook and all Durandals were on target. There were quite a few runway craters before we arrived but we added another 12 craters.

We hung around waiting at our egress waypoint when we should have RTB'd directly.

Again on landing approach, lack of intra-package comms lead to poor coordination of the landing sequence.

General note to make sure other flights in the package are aware of your intentions at major decision points (takeoff, approach to target, RTB, landing).
