Command has been informed of enemy ships on the west coast. You have been tasked to destroy the ships and surrounding support structures.
Your specific mission is to attack and destroy the two Type 053H3 CLS Jiangwen II frigates of the 3300th SAG Task Force currently berthed at Nampo naval base.

Fig. 1 - Package Flight Path and AAA Threats.

Fig. 2 - Recent Recce Photo of Targets.
The Jiangwen II has 37mm AAA guns and HQ-7 surface to air missiles. The latter are radar guided from the ship with a range of around 15nm.
The package consists of three flights, totalling eight aircraft; details below.

Fig. 3 - Package 3521 TASMO Details.
Mission Success Criteria Package success will be awarded for the destruction of both of the frigates with only one loss from air threats. A partial shall be awarded if one frigate is destroyed, again with a max of one loss to air threats.
Good hunting.

Loaded with GBU 10Cs we climbed to A24. We offset to 290° to move away from enemy fighters as advised by Banshee 61. No issues followed.
We went into a hold while we waited for Banshee 63 to move into position for buddy lasing. I descended to KoE while 2 stayed in the hold. I reached the IP and started to prosecute the attack when Banshee 63 called that he had issues with lasing. I decided to continue and lase myself. I saw the frigates launch SAMs (I didn't know it was at Banshee 63 until later) and I should have aborted at that point. Instead I continued. I raised the nose to reach the launch elevation of 35° but took too long about it. I launched my LGB but was shot down soon after and ejected. By good fortune the bomb continued on course and sank the first frigate.
No 2 continued and was advised by Banshee to leave the remaining frigate and look for targets of opportunity. As he couldn't find any he eventually went for the frigate. His approach was better than mine in that he was more aggressive in the climb. His bomb hit and critically damaged the target without having a SAM launched at him. The frigate later sunk.

Ingress 20NM ahead of strike with our #3 sticking with them. Plenty of contact were called by AWACS E of the tracks but still a factor as we were getting spiked by Mig-23s. #3 was monitoring and once the Mig-23s were sorted in between 4+ Su-25s, he relayed targets to #1 and turned back on track with the strike (which was asked to keep W of tracks). #2 took a fox-3 at one of the 23s but the bandit evaded. #1 took a fox-3 at another 23 trying to flank and splashed. The rest were either no factor (Su-25s) or engaged by friendlies. As Viper was getting to IP, we rushed to get back on tracks. We quickly managed to get the formation sorted and #3 was cleared for A-G tasking (suppression of fire cans in the area and buddy lasing). #3 managed to drop his SDBs and cleared Viper11 in for 1st pass on the frigates. #1 and #2 were on station, picture clear. #3 was on the strike VHF for the ground attack, so I didn't know he had tech issues. The next call I heard was that SAMs were launched from the frigate by Viper11, I saw a splash shortly after and assumed it was #3. During briefing, we had set a 12NM threat ring for the frigate and #3 trespassed it. Shortly after this, another splash was spotted (Viper11). We liaised with Viper12 and advised no buddy lasing available, to proceed to hit targets of opportunity. Viper12 decided to go for the frigate, and we provided close escort. A couple of Mig-21s tried to sneak in from the SE but were spotted on time and dealt with accordingly. Once Viper12 dealt with his target, he rejoined on us for RTB.
Busy approach as expected, with a C-130 turning final as we were coming in for the break. The flight managed to squeeze in but #1 ended up misjudging the distance to the C-130 (now in the middle of the runway). A hard landing instead of going around was the price to pay, hydraulics were lost and brakes were dead so I came off the runway and hit a sign.
