PS
Ingress to the point where we turned south was uneventful although we could hear Mohawk 6 becoming busy with SU-27s and more that pulled them north and away from us. I was asked to delouse and so I sent 2 and 3 to continue with the SEAD while I turned to assist Mohawk. I turns out I wasn't needed in the end. I did then see a group if four enemy heading my way so I launched two slammers at them before turning cold. By this time I had wandered too far into an SA-10 circle with the result that I had to eject.
2 and 3 went NOE with 2 targetting PPT61 and 3 PPT56. 3 did not CZ his HSD and ended up going north until I spotted him and told him to head east. Then I was hit.
2 successfully engaged and destroyed his PPT61 Flap Lid before egressing to the western edge of the SA-10 threat circle. This left 3 alone and although he launched one HARM he was jumped by 2xSU-33s from the carrier and was killed.
One bonus was that we discovered there was a friendly destroyer/frigate that took care of a few enemy fighters, launching at them at 20 miles.
Lessons learned; 1. Pay attention to your RWR and respect the dangers around you, 2. Be sure of the procedures for operation of your aircraft, 3. Do not leave your wingman alone. Either stay with him or abort the attack and both get home in one piece.
