Flight Role: AI Spade 11: Pegasus AA=0 AG=4 RTB Spade 12: Fisty AA=0 AG=5 RTB Spade 13: Noodle AA=0 AG=9 RTB
MS
Excellent result as we totalled 8 SA-8 kills. 4 for Noodle and 2 each for Fisty and Pegasus.
We almost got involved with Mig29S and Su30MK on ingress and just after we finished bombing, but our F-15 escort took out the first threat, and Bulldog4 the later threat.

Flight Role: AI
Bulldog41: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=11 RTB Bulldog42: "Monarch" AA=1 AG=2 RTB Bulldog41: "Mango" AA=1 AG=7 RTB
MS
Take off and ingress uneventful as we climber to FL250. When around 80 nm from the target area we spotted MiG29s and Su30s fighting our Mirages north of our track. I decided to moved my flight SE and attack our ground targets from the south as opposed to the original straight attack for the west. This worked well and we sorted nicely on a mechanised battalion oriented north-south. Target zones were allocated and as the targets were stationary both myself and Monarch (on his first official flight with the 185th) dropped all our bombs in one pass. Mango had a tech issue that only allowed him to drop two, forcing him to circle for another attack.
While he did that, Monarch and I monitored the air to the east for bandits. I spotted a flight of bogies but we didn't engage as they were too far into enemy territory (not sure of SAM threats) so we turned back, especially as Mango had finished his attack.
It later transpired that the bogies were SU34s which our AI escort Lynx 7 shot down.
I told Spade we were finished and they asked us to monitor skies to their north. We found MiG29S and SU30s up there. We took down two MiGs before turning for home with Spade covering our tails.
Landing was via an OHB but the base was busy again and Monarch had to wave off and go around.
A good flight.
