Busy air picture, we monitored the first Mig-21 furball to the NW shortly after taking off, followed by some Su-17. Both no factor as plenty of blue air and SAMs were there for them. Coming to the E towards target, the picture called for threats coming NE from Damascus. We pressed on and got our first head on engagement with 2 Mig-23, both took a heater in the chest (ref: https://youtu.be/S13G08KKrcA?t=48), #2 also sent one in for good measure. While #3 took care of a 4 ship of Su-17s, #2 got separated and 2 Mig-21 managed to sneak in behind both #2 and #3. Responding to a delouse call from #3, #1 spotted #2 coming back towards rejoin STP, trailing his bandit. #1 took the shot and splashed, then deloused #3 of his bandit. With the NE clear for now, strike flight was cleared in, but we didn't know they were coming from the E when we heard some merge call, we could not assist straight away.

Eventually, #3 found the 4 Mig-21 and took 1 out before turning cold. #1 came hot and engaged 2 of them, while the 3rd one sneaked behind. #1 called for delouse, #3 was tally, but #1 managed to turn the situation around and get behind the bandit for a gun kill.

Meanwhile, #2 was trying to find his lead and got shot down by JACKAL61.
Some Mig-25 tried to scare us on egress, but enough friendlies were there waiting for them as we fenced out.

Straight in approach and landed on runway 20.
