While you have been sleeping our ground troops have made a concerted effort to push north. As our troops approach Beirut there is a need to weaken the defending forces before our ground pounders arrive to challenge them.

Your task is to attack two separate but close areas south of Beirut. There have been other flights there before you and the latest location of enemy troops is shown below.

Fig 1 - The Target Area

Fig 2 - Flight Plan

Your task is to attack and destroy as many enemy ground troops in the area as possible.

There are believed to be SA-8's active as well as AAA and SA-9 sites, so caution is recommended.

Enemy aircraft are still getting airborne from the east and north of the target. Rumble 4 will be on CAP before you arrive on target.

Package 1278
Viper 1 - 4 x F-16A-15 IAF - AI, Tcn 11/74
Cobra 4 - 4 x F-16A-15 IAF - AI, Tcn 12/75
Rumble 4 - 4 x F-15A IAF - Ambush CAP

Mission success will be awarded to each flight for an average of four kills per aircraft, with a PS for three per aircraft.

Good Hunting.
