Take off and flight to the target area was uneventful, apart from dodging some Harriers that came a little close.
Our target steerpoints were empty and our quarry had moved a little, but not too far that we couldn't find them. Loaded with 4 x GBU-54s each, we sorted targets, focusing firstly on the three SA-13 launchers then BMPs, etc. The cloud cover stayed away until just after the last bomb hit home.
We turned south to start setting up our support CAP while Mako 5 finished their ground attacks. Gekko called me and I directed him to our target area for solid targets to hit.
We were told by Rumble to head home as there was no enemy air threat to defend against, so we RTB'd with an overhead break on rwy 18.
Good to have Fisty back.

Take off and flight to the target area was uneventful.
Struggled to find targets in our designated kill box. While searching for red ground units, a column was spotted and attacked. Unfortunately did not realise it was slightly to the South of the kill box area, and they were actually friendly units. AWACS was not requested to declare either. A few blue tanks were destroyed as Mango warned me. Set up for more search and decided to move to Satan's area after they had left it and successfully attacked red ground units there.
Satan supplied us with CAP cover. No further events. Decouterand RTB with Rumble covering our six. Straight in approach was agreed as we still had relatively large amount of fuel. Take down on RWY 18
Good to have Fisty back. |
