The last mission was a bust due to more than one squadron of MiG-29As being active north of Pyongyang. Command realise that eliminating the threat shall require more than one OCA, but you shall try to revisit Sunan. The airbase is now only protected by a single SA-2 as well as AAA and manpads.
Your specific mission is to attack and destroy the two runways at Sunan International Airport.
Fig. 1 - Sunan International Airport and it's Offset Runways.
The aforementioned static SAM sites cover the strike flight's (Mako 2) targets and should be neutralised by Plasma 4 to allow them to complete their task relatively safely. Jackal 5 shall be responsible for keeping air threats off the other tow flight's backs.

The package consists of three flights, totalling eight aircraft; details below.

Mission Success Criteria Package success will be awarded for putting both of the runways out of action with only one loss from air/radar SAM threats. A partial shall be awarded if the northern runway is made inoperative, again with a max of one loss to air/radar SAM threats.
Good hunting.

First comment; where are all these MiGs coming from?!
We flew a three ship with No3 carrying SDBs to take down the SA-2 (PPT63) the air defences to the SE of the AB and thresholds of runways in case MiGs were taxiing.
It was all academic because the air was a wall of MiG-29As and we had to abort.
They came at us from the north, west and east and we didn't have enough slammers to cater for them.
We lost Mango as he was mugged by three MiGs at once but Pegasus and I manged to escape.
Phew. We need more numbers on deck for this one to have any chance of success.

Ingressed 10NM behind escort and we were already getting Mig-29s on the left flank after crossing the DMZ. The group in question merged with harriers and F-16s and was taken care of but there were more coming from the W. We got back on track to stick with our escort but they were soon aborting and turned cold. We tried to delouse as best as we could but SA was poor. #2 got a fox-3 away and splashed, unfortunately he had a tech with his MFD as we jettisoned AG ordnance. These few seconds spent troubleshooting got him too close to more incoming Mig-29s and was shot down. #1 got 2 fox-3s that were dragged and 1 succesful fox-3. Rejoining on escort for egress, #1 fox-2 on another group coming in close from the west. Missile went straight for the flares, but got them to turn away. More friendlies were also now coming to the rescue.
#1 RTBd with escort.
